Happy Boxing Day!

Merry Christmas & Happy Boxing Day!

Just realise its been a long while since I last posted something onto the site...

I have to say this December has been a great month for me altogether. Shared the happiness of 2 newly wed friends, had a fabulous week-long trip to HongKong with the whole of my family, Batam spa-retreat with a couple of my best buddies and not forgetting all the wishes and blessings (chocos not included) for the Christmas...
Now I'd only wish for my good old photos to 'come back' to me and more 'catch-up' with friends and families.
Pictures of the HK holiday & Batam retreat will be posted later once I get them sorted and all...
So, till then, I'd like to wish all friends the best of everything in the coming year!!

Crestfallen

Been in a lousy state for the past 2-3 weeks....

My dearie laptop of 5 years just lurched me and crashed down without any notices. Well, it would have been not as bad if not for me overlooking the fact that we should always back-up our data since I don't exactly use my laptop as much now (say an average of 3-4hours over the internet each week).
Still, I'm totally depressed especially the thought that all my past 5 years of good (and some bad) moments were all captured and save (in photos) within that one only source of visuals for me to look back on... I mean, how could I even be so naive to think that I don't need a back up!! Speaking of 'Plan B' that I've learn from all these event management aye.... *Sigh*

So yeah, right now I'm bothering every single buddy of mine that's gifted with "good computer brains" to help me on my little-big misfourtune here but it seems like I may have to send my dearie to a professional for recovery works.... Hmm... I guess if paying does help, I wouldn't mind paying for all my memories back...

Anyway, way too much ranting for a weekend... Thanks Eric, Adrian & Victor for the help & effort!

Defrost.Hospital.Year-end Tie-up. Exam Fever.

It must have been quite a while since I leave some traces here.... Time to do defrosting....

Meant to post some photos from my last company event & the Shape Run mini-marathon that I went with SY but the picures just get stuck to my camera and I never seem to have the energy to transfer them out... lazy lazy...

Law's mom had an operation recently and the past months was a bit of an 'in-and-out-of-hospital' for her and the family... Thankfully all is well now and she's good in recovery though still staying in the hosiptal which is just good so that she can recieve the proper care from the doctors and nurses...

Work's been busy too as the year proceed on... Typically, year-end is always the busy period for marketing activities to happen and so the team's been touching base with many different channels to look into programs that we can run together of. Some sounds good but some is just hanging mid-air.... Let's just say nothing is exactly firm up yet which is not too good a news for us....

Weekends' not for resting in as well... With the exam fever soaring around, I've been providing extra classes for the tuition sessions. But well, bright side is that its just going to be another 3 weeks more and by then I'd have all my weekends to myself... So looking forward!

Anyone Can Cook....

With many thanks to Cath, I managed to catch the Gala-Premiere of Ratatouille last thursday at The Cathay.... Its totally funny a movie that I would say its probably the best by far after "Finding Nemo". It does quite reminds of these other 2 mice-y movies some years back but I have still enjoyed the show alot... Innocent, heart-warmimg and so very cute.... Go on, catch the Rat!

I'm Chasing After Him

The Boy Who Lived....

Was going after a Harry-chase last weekend.

Went for the Order of Pheonix movie on the previous saturday evening with Cath & Law. As usual, the movie's not so much of a pleasant surprise from the original but I guess for people like Law (aka people who don't do the reading) its good enough to understand the gist of the plot.

The finale book was quite a good read though. Had borrowed it from PS on sunday and gotten through the whole thing in the next few days of time. Ending was sort of abrupt but well, Harry's alive still. Mishap did happen to a few of my preferred characters and just in case it could entice anyone of trying to read it, yeap I sobbed at some of the deaths.... ;(

M.Z.T

Went away for a little holiday some time mid-July with Cath & El. It was a good little break to get away from stuff here in Singapore and I must say the holiday was kinda a pleasant surprise of what I didn't think it would be....

Sin-Macau-Zhuhai-Sin was our itinerary route for the 5D4N trip that was much planned by not ourselves but friend of my travel mates, Ms NJ (special credits to her for it if she ever does gets to this page... hee).

Had a good balance of sightseeing, food and shopping in the 5days though I never seem to feel as alive as I was during the trip after i got back to Singapore. (Yes! I'm hinting I need another holiday.... haa)

Macau is definitely more than just casinos though I must agree its not the 'Asia-Las Vegas' for nothing. Glamourous in its own bits & pieces manner yet at the same time there's its rich history and culture portion which people often missed out on.... Could only say I'm glad I did went on those local tour stuff and nope, Macau is definitely not a 1day thing....

Zhuhai was totally the next BKK to be (or has it been???...). Shopping was the no.1 thing to do there and then though i had much enjoy Yuan.Ming.Xin.Yuan as well. Missed out on a couple of 'To-Do & To-Visit' due to overwhelming of shopping so if anyone does go there for what-so-ever reason, please do tell me how does the 'Zhong.Ke.Xie' taste like aye.....

Some of the photos taken as below.... Be sure to gobble some almond biscuit & porkchop bun to have the full flavor of my trip...

S is for Sentosa.....

This is totally an entry 2 weeks late.... For friends who visited, my apologies but i would hope the photos may have entertained you as well....
Went down to the islands for a little weekend-getaway with the whole bulk of my family members. Counting to 10 adults & 2 children, we got ourselves 3 rooms (2 at Rasa Sentosa + 1 at Siloso Beach Resort) booked for the night of Friday and pretty much enjoyed ourselves there. We didn't really do much but just hang around a couple of touristy places or just laze by the beaches and pool. Still, it was a nice, relaxing and family-bonding weekend.... Got me pretty entice to the place.... so, I'd say.... Sentosa any takers???....

Smile! You're at Sentosa....

For Eann

On an occasion of helping out with my company's charity event, 'Teddy Bear Making Session', I came to know this little 'brother bear' - Eann.

The boy is only turning 4 this year but has been ill for most of the days that he’s known of. He’s really shy, the sort that’s quiet and would not talk a lot. Nevertheless, he would always put on a little bashful smile to all that plays with him.

He’s very very sweet and most unique of all, he display appreciative-ness to the ones who care of him. Why??…. After we did finish the teddy, his father had ask him not once but many times “What’s the name of your little bear???” and his answer never fails to be “QJ-jiejie”….

When I had heard those words I felt really sad. Strange isn’t it? I should have been more touched than sad but it’s true that I feel sad for him then. It’s like ‘how could an angel this sweet be terminally ill at such young age and not know when he could live till???’….

So, I guess life is such that there are things out there which we can’t decide for but still, we should always be appreciative of what we have that is there for us.

Eann has come to made me feel so very appreciated for that little bit I’ve done for him as well as to made me realize that it is easy to be appreciative of those around me.

That one afternoon of spending time with Eann and the other children is definitely one that enriches me in a way I have never felt before. And so, who ever says you only give and not take in charity??....

The Start

Now its coming to the surface... I finally registered myself for the blog.

This time its quite special. Definitely it started from my own thoughts of writing again and having some of my longest buds being active writers but really, what drives me into deciding on it is in fact because of a boy... a little boy age of 4...

To myself and to all who come across this, have abit of patience as i'm still sorting it all out (the blog i mean). Will be posting my feels and thoughts again once I'm ready on it and by then you'll have The Little Bitz of me....
